Ingredients

  • 4 Tablespoons
    Flour, divided
  • 1/2 Teaspoon
    Salt
  • 1 Pound
    Beef Sirloin
  • 4 Tablespoons
    Butter, Divided
  • 1 Cup
    Mushroom, sliced
  • 1/2 Cup
    Onions, chopped
  • Clove Garlic
  • 1 Tablespoon
    Tomato Paste
  • 2 Cups
    Beef broth
  • 1 Cup
    Sour Cream
  • 2 Tablespoons
    Sherry
  • Wide Egg Noodles

Instructions

  1. Cook the noodles according to the package directions and set aside.Cut the sirloin in to 1/4 in. strips. Combine 1 Tbsp. of the flour with 1/2 tsp salt and use it to dredge the sirloin.

  2. Preheat a large skillet and melt 2 Tbsp. of the butter then add meat and quickly brown on both sides

  3. Add the mushrooms, onion and garlic and cook 3 to 4 minutes or until the onion is tender

  4. Remove meat and mushrooms from the pan. Add the remaining 2 Tbsp. butter to the pan and whisk in 3 Tbsp. of the flour. Add the broth slowly then cook while stirring until the mixture thickens. Then return the meat mixture to the pan.

  5. Stir in the sour cream and the sherry. Heat briefly. Meanwhile, run the noodles under hot water to reheat them. Stir the noodles in to the sauce just before serving. Yum!
